With a deep understanding of both Arabic and English languages, cultures, dialects, and ways of life, I set up my own consultancy to advise and share what I have learnt from my experiences. I value the differences and nuances words bring, and enjoy the challenges that come with every brief. My works include creative advertising copywriting, editing, MTPE, subtitling, as well as fashion, lifestyle and travel website content localising. Having started as a VO artist myself, I went on to coaching, script supervising and directing VO talents in recording & post-production sessions in London studios. I have worked on documentary scripts, content matrix, SEO editing & proofreading. In addition to that, I am consulted to provide research for concept & sense checks, originating names as well as adapting pitch presentations & storyboards. I have worked alongside legal teams on editing cookie policies, privacy policies, T&C’s and Terms of Service.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some amazing people at some of the world’s leading creative agencies on global brands such as Apple, Aramco, Bio-Oil, Dove, Dubai Tourism, Facebook, Hotel Chocolat, International Women’s Day, Lipton, Loro Piana, NEOM, Nespresso, Qatar Tourism, Rolex, Suitcase online magazine, to name but a few.
Advertising campaigns
Transcreating, editing copy, dubbing, and subtitling for high-profile advertising campaigns, among them the Rolex Perpetual Planet short films, Tiffany & Co., ‘Visit Dubai’ short films featuring Jessica Alba and Zac Efron, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. In addition to recording ADR sessions for feature films and shows such as Howard J Ford’s ‘Never Let Go’ and Netflix’s ‘Young Wallander’
Digital Magazines
Editing translations and curating Arabic articles on culture, fashion, travel and lifestyle for online magazines and various pulications such as annual specials featuring different destinations like ‘Diriyah’, in KSA, and London’s Westfield and Bicester Village
Website content
Writing, editing and adapting content for several e-commerce websites, and working on originating new concepts, collaborations and special features for Ramadan, the Eids, London and Milan Fashion weeks to develop higher rates of conversions
Post-production & Documentaries
Clients include Hogarth Worldwide for Rolex short films featuring the Rolex ambassadors, working on script transcreations and editing for subtitles, TBWA/MAL for Apple’s advertising, social media and post-production, RD Content for e-sports documentary script adaptation, VO auditioning and directing recording sessions.
